Anthony Fleg, MD, MPH will discuss patients diagnosed with substance use disorder (SUD) frequently encounter stigma in their personal lives as well as in clinical settings. Consequently, establishing a foundation of trust between these patients and their care teams presents both a significant challenge and a critical necessity. Integrated care settings offer distinct advantages that can be leveraged to support SUD patients, distinguishing them from non-integrated environments. This discourse will examine effective methodologies for integrating the treatment of SUD patients within the framework of integrated care settings.
