Date: December 18, 2025

Andre Peri, PhD and Amy Fish, PhD, LP will discuss the integration of healthcare in tribal communities necessitates flexibility and collaboration between Western medical practices and Indigenous healing traditions. They will examine how integrating these models can foster a more comprehensive and culturally responsive approach to care. Drs. Peri and Fish will examine strategies for incorporating traditional medicine and healing practices into clinical settings, as well as methods for delivering culturally informed health education both within clinics and in the community. Such educational initiatives will promote prevention, intervention, and postvention for chronic health conditions, encompassing both medical and behavioral aspects. Additionally, they will explore how technological solutions, including telemedicine and remote patient monitoring, can mitigate access barriers and extend the reach of integrated care.
